Ten Makeup Tips You Need.
1. Moisture, moisture, moisture! Any make-up regime should start with clean, moisturized skin. Find a moisturizer that works for you (preferably with an SPF of 15 or higher) and use it religiously! Not only will it protect you from skin cancer, but your skin will hold make-up much better.
2. If you’re short on time, use mascara at the very least! A thin coat on your upper and lower lashes can make a world of difference. You can go from looking tired to wide-awake with this one simple step. Another mascara tip: never pump the wand in the tube! Instead, twist it to get more mascara on the applicator. 3. A great way to make your eyes look bigger, brighter and more energetic—which celebrities use all the time—is to put a light colored shadow in the inner corner of each eye. Sweeping the same shade on your brow bone enhances this effect.

4. Take care of your lips! For some reason our lips are often left out of our skin care routine. Don’t make that mistake! You should moisturize your lips every night with Vaseline or a thick lip balm. When you wake up, gently rub your lips with a toothbrush or a damp washcloth. This will get rid of any flakes and make your lips the perfect canvas for gloss and lipstick.

5. Groom your eyebrows! Eyebrows have an incredible effect on your look. It’s important to keep them neat and shaped, but something that people often overlook is filling in sparse areas. With a little eyebrow pencil your look can go from blah to sophisticated in a flash!

6. Use foundation! Many women can’t be bothered with it, but it works wonders in evening out your skin tone and provides an excellent base for the rest of the makeup you will use. But be careful: it’s very important to choose a shade that’s as close to your natural skin tone as possible. Anything different will leave you looking unnatural, as if you are wearing a mask.

7. Blush is a great way to make your skin look healthy and radiant. There’s a simple trick to avoid looking like Bozo the clown or your niece’s favorite baby doll: smile! It allows you to find the apples of your cheeks easily. Start there and apply it in an upward motion towards your temple. Doing it this way ensures that you’ll highlight the places the sun would naturally hit your face. When you’re done, step back and take a look at yourself in the mirror. Blend in where it looks harsh and if it looks too dark, swipe your cheeks with powder, which will help tone down the color.

8. When choosing eye makeup, pick a shade that contrasts your eye color rather than one that matches it. This will result in a look that makes your eyes pop out. The best colors for brown eyes are green and gold, which will pick up the colored flecks in your eyes. If you have green eyes, lavender and mocha look best. And for blue eyes, brown and rose colored shadows contrast the coolness of your eyes, making them pop out.

9. The key to creating a dramatic nighttime look is simple: smudge away! After putting on your eyeliner, go over your upper and lower lashes with a dark colored shadow and smudge, smudge, smudge. Put a slightly lighter shade on the crease, and a shade a bit lighter up to your brow line. Smudge the edges of each color so that they gently blend together and seem to almost melt into each other. Lastly, apply a few coats of mascara.

10. After you’re finished applying your makeup, lightly dust your face with a translucent powder. It will set your makeup and keep you looking nice and fresh!.

Mix one cup uncooked oatmeal and a few spoonfuls of plain yogurt to create an exfoliating paste. Use as a gentle body scrub to remove dry, flaky skin and dead skin cells. The oatmeal will do the scrubbing while the yogurt does the moisturizing.

Maintain a Healthy Diet
Be sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day and eat foods high in nutrients. Think fresh fruit and vegetables, whole grains, and lean meats. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and tobacco - all skin dehydrators, and avoid processed and packaged foods as much as possible.

 Coloring Your Hair .
Hair Colors.
Coloring your hair is perhaps the quickest and most dramatic way to change your look. It is also an excuse to go out and buy a new wardrobe of clothes, because you'll find that what suited you as a brunette looks rather drab on a new blonde.
There are two types of hair dyes: permanent and semi-permanent, with variations of each.
A) Permanent Tints:
Must be mixed with hydrogen peroxide to lift hair color. The peroxide opens the hair cuticle so that the tint can penetrate the cortex and form the color. The higher the level of peroxide, the quicker and lighter the result. B) Semi-Permanent Colors:
They don't actually lift the color - you can either vary the tone within your natural highlights or go darker. Quasi-color contains ethanolamine and 3% peroxide which slightly opens the cuticle. This means that the color can last up to 20 washes and will softly fade as you shampoo, causing no re growth problem.
C) Semi-Permanent Vegetable Colors:
Contain only vegetable extracts and natural ingredients, so no color is stripped from your hair. It is similar to henna but it doesn't coat the hair (adds shine though). This color sits on the hair's surface and will wash out after about 8 shampoos.

Different coloring methods suit different hair styles, so get some expert advice when deciding which one to go for...
Skin Tone: Your new hair color should complement your skin tone. Light-skinned people don't look good with very dark hair because it draws color out of their skin. Dark, tanned skin doesn't look great when mixed with a one-tone blonde, but four or five blonde, chestnut or honey tones look fabulous.

BLONDE:
If you would love to be blonde, talk the process through with your colorist (or stylist) before you go for it. It should be relatively painless on virgin dark brown hair, but if your hair has been permanently tinted then the process will become a long saga.
Never attempt this kind of dye job on your own for the first time.

RED:
Red is the ultimate sexy shade, for color that cries out for attention. Hair holds on to red-toned pigments well, so going copper-top can be easy for most people.
But be warned - if you are blonde you will usually have to go two or three shades darker than your natural color to achieve a rich red (brunette), and it's not easy to reverse it.

BROWN:
Brunette is always a safe choice as it suits nearly every girl in town. Varying the shade with highlights can achieve a huge range of looks. From chocolate brown and bronze shades to honey or dark blonde, combinations of natural tones gives incredible shine as darker-pigmented tints add condition to your hair.

BLACK:
This is by far the easiest color to accomplish because the molecules in black tints are larger and will cover all hair types very effectively. Caution is needed when using black as it only tends to look good on people with darker and olive skin tones. it's great for getting the Goth look, but definitely not for your granny.

Some popular coloring questions:

* Will coloring my hair damage it?

Only if the wrong level of peroxide is used or you are over-processing (too many permanent colors are applied) your hair. If you constantly change your hair color , especially if you go from blonde to brown and back to blonde, you must regularly use deep conditioning treatments.

Why can colored hair look dull?
Over-processing is the biggest reason. If your hair is starting to look dull, use semi-permanent colors where the pigments sit on top of the hair adding plenty of tone and shine.

What's better for my hair, semi-permanent or permanent color?

Semi-permanent color give your hair a higher shine and enhance condition, but they won't lift natural hair color. Also, a semi-permanent tint will not cover large amount of grey hair (more than 50%).
If a permanent tint is used correctly, you will always achieve a beautiful effect and semi-permanent tints can be used to maintain these permanent treatments, adding condition.

Get Rid Of Acne and Scars.
At some point you had acne, now you are left with embarrassing, ugly scars. There are ways to diminish and reduce the appearance of the acne scars. The severity of the scars will determine what you will need to do to diminish them. I would recommend seeking advice from a dermatologist or a cosmetic surgeon to determine the best course of action.
For very mild scarring you can try a few at home procedures and products to help reduce the appearance of the scars. At home dermabrasion and chemical peels can help diminish some scarring especially
if you also use retinol or alpha hydroxyl acid lotions or creams.
For sensitive skin you may not want to apply retinol or alpha hydroxyl products right after dermabrasion or peels because it can cause redness and irritation. Other products you can try are scar reducing creams like Mederma or Rosehip seed oil which is said to be great at reducing scar tissue. Aloe Vera juice and gels and lavender oils are also said to work well on reducing scars.

Professional treatments for scarring include Laser Resurfacing which involves the use of a laser to remove skin so new skin can form in its place. Laser resurfacing can cause uneven skin tones in people with darker skin. It is still being studied but shows a lot of promise. After treatment you may experience redness and swelling which may last for several weeks.
Dermabrasion has been around for decades. Originally sandpaper was used to remove damaged skin. Now a machine rotates to remove the damaged skin, the skin is numbed or frozen first. After the procedure your skin is raw and scabs will form. After the scabs heal your skin will be reddish for several weeks.
Augmentation is a procedure where material like collagen or your own fat will be injected under the scar to bring it to the surface. The treatments last for about six months but they are working on more permanent solutions.
Subcision is a technique that detaches the scar from deeper tissue and allows a pool of blood to form under the scar. The blood clots and helps form connective tissue under the scar to level it with the rest of the skin surface. Subcision is usually combined with either dermabrasion or laser resurfacing.
The depth and shape of your scars will determine what treatment your doctor will recommend.

   Laser Hair Removal Guide.

Laser hair removal is designed to permanently remove unwanted body hair by using the light energy from a laser. Unwanted hair is a common problem in women and men. Shaving, waxing, and tweezing only produce temporary results and can generally only be carried out on relatively small areas.

Laser hair removal treatment can be used to permanently treat and remove small and large areas of unwanted hair from the body. Best results occur in those with light skin and dark hair, and hair removal works better on coarse hair rather than fine hair.
What is involved with laser hair removal?
The area is shaved and cleaned, and an anesthetic cream applied. The laser then produces pulsed beams of highly concentrated light which is absorbed by the pigment located in the hair follicles, damaging the surrounding follicle.

The procedure can be uncomfortable, but it is not usually painful. The length of a laser session may be a few minutes to an hour or more, depending on the size of the area being treated. Any redness and swelling of the affected areas usually disappears in a short time. And most people return to normal activity right away.

Are there any risks associated with Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal is a safe procedure if carried out by an experienced person. Possible complications include:

1. Darkening or lightening of the treated skin
2. Burning/blistering of the treated skin
3. Since darker skin is more susceptible to changes in pigment, tanning before laser hair removal should be avoided.

How many treatments will I need?
Most treatments require 4-6 sessions for permanent hair removal in any one area. The procedure can be repeated at monthly intervals.

How much does laser hair removal cost?
Laser hair removal costs from £100 depending on the area treated.
