Anushka Shetty

Sources close to actress Anushka say that the actress has been going ‘overboard’ in her efforts to stay ‘focussed’ and ‘perfect’ in the film industry. This kind of attitude is sure to fetch her more enemies than friends, the sources warn.

Anushka, who made a grand comeback with ‘Arundhati’ in 2009, starred in Vijay’s ‘Vettaikkaran’ and then in Surya’s Hari-directed ‘Singam’. After debuting as Maddy’s heroine in Sundar C’s ‘Rendu’ more than six years ago, Anushka moved to Tollywood for survival and went on to make it big in Telugu films. She is now awaiting the release of her Tamil film ‘Deiva Thirumagan’ opposite Vikram.
She also has another project opposite Karthi, directed by Suraaj. The film is yet to be named. She also has some plum projects in Telugu opposite top heroes. Anushka hopes the Vijay-directed ‘Deiva Thirumagan’ would stabilize her standing in Kollywood. She, however, avoids the muhurat, audio-launches and the premier shows of films.
She has reportedly told her producers that she would have to be ‘paid’ to speak to the press-persons. Anushka is said to be very particular that she would only be posing for pictures during film shoots and says that photographers can’t click her photographs at their will at public functions and events!
